Hi everyone!
Happy Wellness Wednesday! As most of you know, I spent part of my Summer in San Pedro de Atacama in Chile exploring the beautiful desert.
While I was there, I visited Cejar Lagoon, which is a small formation of salt water and lithium in the Earth. The salt ratio is so high that you can float without even trying. People have been visiting the lagoon to cure ailments such as arthritis, depression and respiratory issues.
To protect themselves from the sun, people wear sunscreen into the water. These chemicals have thrown off the delicate balance of the water’s ecosystem. Local authorities have been trying to reduce the damage by forbidding the use of sunscreen.

Although it is important to protect our skin, we must continue to protect and respect our ecosystem and precious resources.

Happy Wellness Wednesday!
