Payton Stockman is a 17 year old, proud activist for Mother Earth. As Teen Miss Earth USA she will be representing the United States at Miss Eco International in Las Vegas, Nevada. Having a national title must keep you pretty busy! What is a typical day like for you?

Even though I do community service projects and practice for internationals, my day is like anyone else’s, either going to school or making my summer memorable

What are some of your best beauty secrets to looking flawless all the time?

I definitely do not look flawless all the time, but whenever I do try to look good, I take a bath with bath salts and put a mask on my face so I could feel good. When I feel good I feel like that’s when I look my best.

Lady Code has a focus on anti-bullying and women empowerment. Do you have any advice for our readers who may be victims of bullying?

The people who bully other people just seem to be insecure themselves. True confidence comes from within, it does not come from putting others down. A bully does not define who you are, and you should not give him the power to change your mindset of yourself.

Tell us about your platform:

My platform is to put an end to offshore drilling. Making people aware of how dangerous it is, not only for the wildlife and our oceans but it is also really unhealthy for the workers. Catastrophic spills ruin beautiful beaches and it takes years to clean up.

What can Lady Code readers do in their communities to get involved?

They can start at home by evolving simple habits like turning off the lights or water when you’re not in the room. They could even reduce their carbon footprint by going to their local food market instead of stores that transport food thousands of miles and wasting fossil fuels.
