Good morning everyone!
I hope everyone is having a happy Monday, or at least the best one can possibly have, being that it is in fact Monday. I am here today to hopefully motivate everyone about perseverance.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, because I sure did. This past weekend I competed in the Miss Teen Earth Florida pageant which promotes a healthy environment and living a healthy life. I was fortunate enough to win the amazing title. This means I have the opportunity to compete at the national level this summer in Los Angeles for the title of Miss Teen Earth.
Some may ask, “What does this have to do with perseverance?”
According to the Merriam- Webster’s dictionary, perseverance is
the quality that allows someone to continue trying to do something even though it is difficult
I have had to use perseverance throughout my entire life, whether it was overcoming my learning disability, battling a speech impediment or having the courage to compete in pageants alongside so many wonderfully deserving young women.
I have had to exercise self-control to not eat gluten, wheat or dairy my entire life. This means I have never eaten a normal pizza or ice cream. Crazy right?
Even though this “challenge” would hinder others, I choose to stay healthy and persevere, making it my platform for Miss Teen Earth Florida.
I would love to hear about your stories of perseverance, so leave a comment below!
Wishing all of you a motivated Monday, and remember, perseverance is about never giving up. It is in difficult times when we learn who we truly are and what we are capable of.
