Kathryn Kohut is a confident, driven and ambitious young woman. She made the move to New York City to study at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and after completion of her term she made the move to Toronto where she currently resides as a working actor and model. Kathryn’s core values include family, community, commitment and hard work. Volunteering has always been an important part of her life, and she has worked with charity organizations internationally as well as at home in Canada.

What is it like being the first representative of Canada for Queen Beauty?
It is really exciting and I feel honoured to be the first representative from Canada to compete in Queen Beauty. I hope to make my team, family, friends and country proud – And to also pave the way for future Queen Beauty Canada delegates!
Tell us about the competition:
Queen Beauty is a pageant that really celebrates beauty inside and out. It is a competition that will push us to be better versions of ourselves and it will be full of amazing opportunities for all of the young women involved.
What are you looking forward to the most at the international competition?
I am really looking forward to meeting all of the girls! and of course, to see beautiful Spain.
Describe your personal style:
I feel that my style changes often, but most often it can be described as clean-cut, elegant and classy.
What is one thing you wish people knew about you?
I’ll do anything for the people I love, and I always try to spread kindness.
Tell us about your favorite career highlight:
Thus far in my career, my favourite highlight is all of the traveling I get to do. I’ve been so fortunate to have seen many beautiful places such as Thailand, Japan, Bahamas, St. Lucia, Jamaica, Mexico, and Colombia, and places in the USA (New York and Chicago.)

You really never know what struggles someone is going through so always, always be kind. The words you say and the actions you take really do have a big affect on the world and the people around you, so be mindful of both.

I always leave these long, lengthy comments, and then forget that I have to log into the WordPress thing , then when I do login; I have to redo the comment , LMAO, I need to remember copy and paste! I’m so glad that Queen Beauty celebrates both inner and outer beauty! Sometimes pageants can easily be associate with physical beauty, whether it be their hair, makeup, or gowns, but it’s really important to also focus on the good that these amazing women do.
