Congratulations on being casted for the Real World! What was the most challenging thing about being on a reality show?
The most challenging things for me about being on reality television was realizing that not everyone is going to like you and that it’s okay if they don’t. You have to learn to love yourself first.
We have seen you develop an extremely healthy and fit lifestyle over time. What are some important changes you made in your diet?
As far as my diet goes, I number one quit stressing out about it so much and snacked less on junk food. I started to drink only water, green tea and occasionally coffee and limited my sweets. I made sure to eat 5-7 small meals a day high in protein, green veggies and include moderate complex carbohydrates.
What is your favorite workout?
My favorite work out is a toss up between box jumps and shoulder presses.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
Sometimes I think I exactly where I think I’ll be in 5 years and then God laughs and sets me down another path. So honestly speaking, I have no idea but I know and trust that God will put me where he needs me most!
Lady Code is passionate about putting an end to bullying. Do you have any advice you can offer for our readers who may be bullied?
I was actually bullied as a kid and even in to adulthood. So I know it’s such a heartbreaking thing to be bullied. My best advice to those being bullied is to love the bully more because those who hurt others often need the most love. Don’t take it personally and pray that God shows you how to help them because they are the broken ones, not you!
Who is your role model and why?
My favorite role model is my mother because she has been the most consistent and supportive person in my life. No matter how many mistakes I’ve made she’s always loved me more than she didn’t like what I had done. She’s given me the foundation I have and the love I know.
Keep up with Jessica!
