This past weekend I was in New York City with @emilynteh! If you’ve been following the blog, I know you are very familiar with her by now. For you newbies, she’s one of my best friends! We met 6 years ago in college and we’ve been inseparable ever since. Emilyn’s my go-to girl for everything related to journalism and fashion because she’s got a Teen Vogue internship and two Ivy’s under her belt. Right now, she’s a fashion writer at Net-A-Porter! Emilyn’s first debut on Lady Code was a couple years ago when she taught us how to dress for your internship:
We’ve both come a long way since then and I’m so happy to be living in New York now! We are super close and I get to see her almost every other weekend! We spent this past weekend celebrating the holidays in New York and Emilyn’s birthday early, since her room mate Fischer is going back home to South Africa for the holidays and I’ll be home in Virginia with my family. We went shopping on Fifth Ave, ice skating in Bryant Park, sang karaoke in Times Square, and the following day we did brunch at Bergdorf’s and then went shopping!

Tomorrow, I’m heading to Miami for the weekend for the Miss Vizcaya Swimwear spokesmodel search finals! I’m so excited to meet all of the girls. It’s a dream come true to be able to say that my brand is having another fashion show in South Beach! I can’t wait to get some sun. I’ll be super busy this weekend but I’m going to do my best to update Lady Code and vlog! OMG, one more thing-Charlotte, our intern, will be covering the red carpet at the event for the YouTube channel from the event! This is the first time that Charlotte and I will be Lady Coding together so I can’t wait for that! I know you all are loving her Motivational Mondays 🙂
