Looking youthful and beautiful is important to many women. We all invest in many cosmetic products that “promise” to keep us looking fresh and youthful. Unfortunately a vast majority of these products cause more harm than good. Many of them create dependency, therefore once you stop using them your skin will go back to that previous stage or its condition many times even worsens. In other cases significant results don’t even show, yet we spend a lot of time and money trying to find the miracle solution. After speaking with many renowned estheticians as well as doing some research, I have concluded that natural, home-made treatments are more beneficial towards your skin, as well as the results show faster.
As it is summer, I would like to share with you a recipe I have recently discovered: home-made apricot masks! These masks can be made and altered for your specific type of skin: normal, dry, oily, etc.
Let’s get started!
Normal Skin
– 1 apricot
-1 tablespoon honey
The apricot is smashed and afterwards mixed with honey. After they are mixed homogeneously, add to your face as well as neck and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This mask can be applied twice a week.
Oily Skin
– 1 apricot
– 3 tablespoons honey
– 1 tablespoon yogurt
Mix the apricot with the honey and the yogurt until a homogenous paste is achieved. Apply to the cleaned skin and leave on for 30-40 minutes. This mask can be applied twice or three times a week.
Combination Skin
– 2 apricots
– 1 tablespoon yogurt
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
All of the ingredients are mixed until a homogenous paste is achieved. Apply to the cleaned skin and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This mask can be applied twice a week.
Sensitive Skin
-1 apricot
– 1 egg white
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 tablespoon honey
All of the ingredients are mixed together until a homogenous paste is achieved. Apply to the cleansed skin and leave for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This mask should be applied once a week.
Dry Skin
– 2 apricots
– 1 tablespoon honey
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
The ingredients are mixed together thoroughly. The consistency is applied to the skin and left on for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This mask can be applied twice a week.
These masks are easy to make as well as beneficial for your skin. Results should show within a week from start up. If applied periodically your skin will look young, fresh, and rejuvenated.
Try it out 🙂
xoxo
I’m thinking of trying this sometime for my combo/oily skin!
