How to: whiten your teeth at home with all-natural ingredients

Having an impeccable smile is a priority and a must for many women.  However, there are those who want a brighter smile, but avoid going to the dentist. It can be  hassle to periodically go and follow up with whitening treatments. There are some that prefer to use the white strips at home. The white strips can be tricky: they can be the cause for gum sensitivity. Sometimes they are overused by people in an attempt to make their teeth even brighter, which ultimately can cause you to loose feelings in your gums permanently.

If neither of the options are plausible, you can opt for an all- natural at home teeth whitening!

As the ingredients used in this whitening process are all-natural, it is recommended that you prepare it every week (or as often as you would like to do the treatment) as the ingredients are perishable.

Ingredients you will need:

  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of apple vinegar
  • 2 apple slices
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 1/4 banana peel

First blend the banana peel with the apple slices and the mint leaves. Ulteriorly the other ingredients are added into the mix. They are to be incorporated thoroughly with the rest of the ingredients. After everything is mixed, it is recommended that you add another table spoon of baking soda. The end result should look like a paste.

The paste should be kept in a small container and refrigerated. It can be used twice a day, morning and night. When brushing your teeth, it is recommended to brush for 10-15 minutes.

Noticeable results should be seen within two weeks. Once you are starting to notice a brighter smile, it is important to know how to maintain it. Try staying away if possible from coffee, soda (coke especially), red wine, which do stain the teeth. When possible try using a straw.

There are aliments that when consumed help whitening your teeth! Some of them are: apples, strawberries, oranges, green vegetables, banana peel (use the inside to rub teeth energetically), or lemon.

It is also recommended that you use a whitening tooth paste or some with baking soda (which works very well when added to regular toothpaste as well).

This at home all natural whitening could provide the same results as the whitening strips or professional whitening, only without the pain and gum sensitivity!
