Fashion’s biggest night of the year was held last night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, which marks the opening of the Charles James: Beyond Fashion exhibition. Like in the past years, the event was attended by A-list celebrities and the most prominent figures you can think of in the fashion industry since it is after all hosted by Vogue editor-in-chief (aka the first lady of fashion), Anna Wintour. However, this year’s gala was extra special because it is the first exhibition that has been held at the newly renamed Anna Wintour Costume Center that was inaugurated by the first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, just this past weekend.
