Embrace who you are, you are beautiful!

Us at Lady Code, strive everyday to defeat bullying. We hope that the advice and information we provide to be motivating and encourage our readers to lead healthy, happy lifestyles. Our topics have ranged from fashion, beauty tips, to healthy dieting, work out routines, and such. However, in spite of that in life there are certain situations where it’s difficult to pick yourself up from the hard moments you are experiencing and strive to do better. We want to make known to our readers that they are not alone.

People who love themselves don’t hurt other people. The more we hate ourselves, the more we want others to suffer.

There are many reasons why bullying occurs. Typically when we think about bullying all of the negative connotations come up as well as emotions. As we have repeatedly stated, nothing good comes out of bullying. Anger, jealousy, envy, and especially hate are all emotions that lead one to be a bully.  As the quote above states, sometimes when you are in a dark place yourself and have a lot of hate in your heart, it will cause you to hurt others and bring sufferance to others as well.

The malicious actions of the bullies unfortunately affect inoffensive victims, as well as all of their hate and anger is reflected upon them. It is so unfair for someone who has not done anything to deserve that. We constantly remind bullying victims to stay strong, motivated and focused. There are instances where ignorance is the best strategy to deal with bullies. If they see that their action is ineffective and has no outcome, then they stop. Another way to deal with bullies is to stand up to them. Show them that their words and actions are meaningless, that you are a strong, motivated person that is happy in their own skin and that the bully’s opinion is irrelevant. This will definitely discourage the bully.  It can even be a “slap in the face” and hopefully a wake up call so that they can see that nothing good comes out of what they are doing.

However, there are also out there the victims that are unable to stand up for themselves or ignore the bullies. We have said this many times and we want to say it again: You are not alone! Without fear, if found in that situation it is important to talk to someone: a family member or close friend. By sharing this with someone, you will feel a heavy weight lift off, as you will feel relieved as well as they can provide advice. All of a sudden there is someone there with you and for you, you no longer have to keep suffering within yourself and dealing with the sadness on your own.

We are also here to help! You can always email us at brickellsisters@gmail.com and we will talk to you and provide you with advice.  Remember most of all to love yourself. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. Focus on yourself towards becoming successful and attaining your goals and dreams. If we really sat there and looked at the opposite end of the spectrum, and put ourselves in the bully’s shoes, we would notice that they are tortured souls, that are very unhappy and their way of dealing with this is by making others their victims. Don’t let that bring you down, there is more to life than that. 🙂

  1. Great article. Both the bully and the bullied need help in learning to love themselves. Bullying loses its power when we stop perpetuating the bullying in our own minds too 🙂

  2. What an amazing article! I love reading your anti-bullying posts ❤ “Remember most of all to love yourself. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. Focus on yourself towards becoming successful and attaining your goals and dreams.” this was my favorite quote ☺
