As the holidays are right around the corner, all of us girls want to be in tip top shape so that we look good at that Christmas party and that sparkly dress for New Year’s. The holidays are somewhat menacing towards your figure with all the food served at family gatherings and other festivities. This is why going on a diet before would be an excellent idea.
The pros about this diet are that as Christmas is right around the corner, it would be a short diet, it is good for your health and figure, also a great way to detox your body. This diet is suitable as well for those who like to eat consistent meals.
Ideally, the body should always be receiving all the nutrients necessary either by vitamins or from fruits and vegetables. Many nutritionists and health experts recommend having a detoxifying diet two to four times a year. As mentioned earlier, this diet is very short, lasting only five days. This diet is convenient right before the holidays as it tones your body and makes it fit as well as eliminates toxins from your body and makes it healthier. By the end of the diet, you will also lose weight as bread will be eliminated from the daily aliments you consume.
Day 1
- Vegetable Soup
- Vegetable Cream Soup
- Legume Soup
(all of the soups should be prepared at home without any condiments, oil added. They should be all natural)
- Tea, Coffee, and Juices (without sugar)
Day 2
Fresh vegetables will be introduced in the diet, however at lunchtime, the same menu from the previous day will be used.
- Salads abundant with fresh and varied vegetables (no oils added)
Vegetables to be used: lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, beats, radish, cucumbers, rosemary, or any others of your choice
No juices or other drinks should be consumed during day 2, only water is allowed.
Day 3
Same diet as in the previous day should be followed
Day 4
More diversity can be introduced in your diet at this point. Along with the salads and the soup for lunch, other foods can be consumed. Nuts, almonds, fruits. During this day the main focus is on fruits. This will contribute to detoxifying.

This diet is mostly based on liquids and vegetables. It is very short being only 5 days however it guarantees to keep you toned and fit for the holidays. It prepares your body and cleanses it prior to the heavy meals that will be consumed during the holidays. This diet ensures to maintain your body in good shape and protects your health. It seems that with this diet, the foods consumed at Christmas and other gatherings, won’t have an impact on your body after all.
