Thank you so much. It all started with a pamphlet in mail from National American Miss. I asked my mom if i could do it and she said YES! It was a lot of hard work because i was only 12 and i had to go out into my community and get the sponsorships by myself, but what a great learning experience. The craziest part was there were over 200 contestants in my division and i got in the top 15.
What would you say to a woman who may be on the line about competing in a pageant?
I would say step over the line and enter! Research and ask questions. There are several different pageant systems such as Miss USA, Miss America, Miss International, Miss United States and so many more. Each system provides different learning experiences and not every girl is made for every system. Sometimes you have to try one to figure out if it is right for you or not.
What is the most rewarding thing about pageants?
I feel my purpose in life is to motivate and inspire youth and adults to set goals for themselves and Leave No Doubt in preparing for them. I love watching people grow and be successful and i hate seeing wasted potential.
What can our readers do within their communities to get involved?
First think/find something that you are passionate or interested in. Then ask people around you, at your school or look online for organizations or events happening near you and join in. The important part is to find things you will enjoy doing.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
My next goal is to win Miss USA and then Miss Universe, with these being my next two goals, i hope they will lead me into a career within the modeling, communication or entertainment world. I dont have a specific plan for what I will be doing in 5 years because I am keeping an open mind and heart and trusting that God will lead me to open doors through my goals.
Do you have any advice you can offer for our readers who may be bullied?
Find your safe haven, a friend, a teacher or even your parents, that you can talk to. Although it may be easier said than done, be the bigger person and ignore them. Bullies look and feed on reaction, so if you dont give them any they most likely will give it up!

Who is your role model and why?Craig Hughes who is my personal trainer. He has help me prepare for pageants for almost three years now, but instead of preparing for the actual pageant he has taught me how to live a healthy lifestyle that is maintainable. He has a heart of gold and muscles of steel, he is like a father to me and i am so blessed to have him in my life!Keep up with Arielle:
