Featured Blogger Babe: Heather from Love DaDa

Since I moved to New York from Miami this past winter, it’s been hard to keep up with the Florida lifestyle! Luckily, I found Love DaDa, a fashion blog by Floridian fashionista Heather Hogrefe! Her looks are super chic and fun and totally represent the Miami vibe that I miss SO much! Heather is always traveling but luckily I got a hold of her for a quick blogger feature on Lady Code 🙂

Tell us about your career: I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UCF. I thereafter worked in PCU for 2 years before working as a travel nurse for 2 years. I have pursued a few modeling opportunities the past 2 years as well, which has only allowed me to do nursing part-time (I have a very flexible schedule thanks to working for a nursing agency).

Describe Love Dada: Love Dada is a fashion blog (soon to include beauty and lifestyle as well), that is dedicated to inspiring women to achieve a style they can be confident in through showcasing some of the latest trends; brand reviews; and style guides.

What inspired you to create your blog? I have always had a love and for fashion and writing, and wanted to create a blog that was sexy and stylish, but also very classy. I feel like a sexy edge has been left out of many fashion and style blogs, something we all want to exemplify from time to time. I also want to gear my blog toward everyone, regardless of size or background (something I plan to achieve more of in the near future!)

Where do you find your fashion inspiration from? I find my fashion inspiration in many places! I look to everywhere from online sources (other bloggers, Instagram, etc.), to the fashion magazines and celebrity style. I also get inspired from the culture of places I travel to.

Which beauty product are you currently obsessing over?  Like many others, I am definitely obsessing over the matte liquid lipsticks right now (the one by Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of my favorites!)

What is your go-to beauty look (smokey eye, red lip, etc)? My current go-to beauty look is a brown smoky eye, contoured look, with a nude lip.

What projects do you have going on at the moment? I have some exciting up and coming collaborations with some awesome brands coming up. My collaborations are going to include a couple of great beauty brands too (something I’ve been wanting to include in my blog)

What is one beauty product you can’t live without?  I can’t live without my mascara! I love trying every new mascara that comes out (or so it seems), and am obsessed with long, glammy eyelashes!

We know you’re a super busy girl! How do you stay so glam while you travel? I keep my makeup products organized in separate makeup bag “categories”, like “natural look makeup”, “night looks”, “favorites”. I also keep a ready supply of those little plastic travel containers, so that I can always bring some of my favorite products.

What is the best advice you ever received: Don’t ever quit, just think about how much you want to prove those that doubt you wrong (advice from my mom)

Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now? I’d like to grow my blog a considerable amount, to where I can manage it full time. I would love to have my own “blogger line” within a reputable brand as well.

Who is your role model and why? Jessica Alba. I think it’s very admirable and inspirational how she’s managed to go from “sex symbol” to serious Hollywood actress and business woman over the year, and still look fabulous doing it.
