You may or may not know that I was born and (partially) raised in Colorado! I’ll always be a Coloradian at heart and I’m sure that some of you can see that if you’ve met me! I love the laid back atmosphere out West, the people are much more chill than the people in the East Coast. Franz and I visited my grandparents and my uncle and his family. Of course we had to catch some good skiing since we’re in one of the best skiing regions in the US!

Growing up, I was homeschooled. Since I was four years old, I’ve been skiing weekly every season. My dad would wake up my sister and I at 5am every Tuesday and drive up to Keystone from our home in Denver. It was a two hour drive back and forth but well worth it. I always wish I never moved to Virginia because I know I could have been a pro skiier if I stayed in the mountains! Oh well, we all have a destiny and skiing was not part of mine…I guess designing bikinis in Miami isn’t so bad either 🙂
We skied two days in Keystone. It snowed on Thursday and we skied Friday and Saturday so the conditions were awesome. It was sunny and clear on the slopes so we got some awesome views too.
It was pretty crowded early on in the day on Saturday, so we headed over to the outpost and outback mountains where there were less people. The skiing back there was more advanced with only blue and black runs, but we both made it through and had a blast!
We night skied both days! I love night skiing because its not crowded, and night skiing brings a friendly atmosphere to the slopes. On one of our gondola rides, a couple gave us some candy for us to enjoy on the slopes. It turned out they were from Buffalo, NY which is close to where I’m currently living!
