The Long Weekend

I guess I should clear the air about something-sometimes I wear wigs. My normal hair is long and brown, sometimes black. I love wearing the wig for an edge. I would love to get that color and cut for my hair permanently but I don’t want to deal with the damage the coloring would do to my hair and the cut would take years to grow back out. So, with my wig I can just throw it on when I want to but if I change my mind I’ve got my brown hair 🙂

We were all super lucky this year to have New Year’s Eve on a Thursday, which meant most of us were off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For me, I guess there is no such thing as time off but since everyone else was off, I only had a couple quick calls and emails to handle over the weekend. I hope you all had an amazing long weekend!

It’s starting to get cold in New York. Since we’ve all had such a mild winter so far on the east coast, I am still not prepared for the cold that’s about to hit us. Moving from Miami a couple months ago left me a suitcase full of sun dresses and sandals 🙂 So my mission for the weekend was to shop for winter clothes. A friend of mine told me that the key to dressing warm in New York is layering-– so I’m on a hunt for some good layering pieces now! I did snag a couple pieces over the weekend but this is only the beginning.
