Vacation Diary: Grand Cayman

My boyfriend called me yesterday morning and told me to start packing my bags because we’re going to Grand Cayman! What!! I was so excited and I started packing right away! Of course, I went straight to Vizcaya Swimwear and packed up some new suits!

This morning we had an early flight, but we had some time to stop by the American Express Centurion Lounge to grab breakfast, a few drinks, and even a massage and manicure!

Miami has a direct flight to Grand Cayman so the flight was quick-only an hour and a half-and super convenient. We’re staying at a gorgeous Marriott on Seven Mile Beach, which recently won the honor of “The Caribbean’s Best Beach” in the Caribbean Travel and Life Magazine. I can definitely see why.

This isn’t our first time in Grand Cayman, and it’s rare for us to go to the same Caribbean island twice, but we were so amazed the first time we visited so we had to back! I’ll be posting more vacation updates as I can 🙂

  1. Just found your blog while researching a trip to Grand Cayman my sisters for this August. Looks like you had a fabulous time! Would you recommend the resort you stayed at? We were thinking of the Ritz but I heard there’s a lot of children there.

    1. Hi Caroline!

I absolutely loved this resort! The property was beautiful and the location was excellent. We did walk over to the Ritz one day and it was just as beautiful. I think the Ritz was actually more quiet with a relaxed vibe. I saw 1-2 families at the Ritz but the resort was large so they wouldn’t have been a bother. However, there were no families or children at the Marriott during our stay.
