Lately we have been seeing shirts with unique fonts and expressive quotes on the front. This trend is taking over the street fashion world and I made it my mission to find the most unique and expressive shirts.
I came across Hoodz Worldwide on Instagram @HoodzWorldwide. Their logo and the edgy way that they represented their brand caught my attention. I absolutely loved what I saw.
We were able to get in touch with designer, Curtis Bright and had the opportunity to interview him about his brand.
About Hoodz Worldwide:
A Streetwear brand based out of Seattle. A belief that having an appreciation for where we come from is an important part of who we are and what better way to represent that than through what we wear.

When was Hoodz Created?
The concept behind the Hoodz brand was originally created in 2006 but I didn’t officially launch the first line until earlier this year.
What inspired you to create a clothing line?
I was inspired by the idea to design clothing and create a brand that has meaning and substance. I realized that people all around me we’re looking for ways to represent their city through clothing. I related that concept to my own appreciation for my hometown and passion for clothes. I considered how I could translate that idea to a global scale and from that Hoodz Worldwide was born.
What makes Hoodz unique?
Hoodz gives individuals the opportunity to represent something that embodies culture and a way of life. We are all from someplace, therefore, everyone can identify with what our brand represents.
We love the look of your designs and the lifestyle it represents. Where do you get your inspiration for your designs?
As you can tell by the pieces in the Fall Collection, the designs consist mostly of typography. Words can speak volumes and if designed in the right typeface, it can really make for a fresh design on a shirt. It’s clean, simple, and makes a statement. I also work with a team of talented artists who play a significant role in the design process.
What obstacles have you overcome in creating your own brand?
Finding the right manufacturers was a challenge in the beginning. It took a lot of trial and error to finally find the right companies to work with. It is still a work in progress.
Where do you see the brand in 5 years?
We have exceeded our expectations this year and want to continue on that path. We want to see our product in markets worldwide giving everyone the opportunity to express themselves through our brand.
I loved having the opportunity to create my own design with the Hoodz shirts. Tell me about the importance of being different and embracing your own style?
Your style is a part of your identity and fashion is a great way to express your individuality which is why the streetwear culture is so appealing. It encourges people to be themselves. I love seeing how people take my clothes and turn them into their own.
Do you have any advice for young Entrepreneurs? Believe in yourself.
