Over the past 5 months, I’ve been dedicated to making healthier choices and getting my body in its best shape possible. I’m so happy to see that my body has transformed since I made some lifestyle changes in my diet and fitness routine. Here are 5 things that made a difference in helping me reach my fitness goals!
Start cleansing
Flush out toxins from you body by drinking 3/4 of a gallon of distilled water per day. Adding a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar to an 8oz glass of water in the morning will also help kick start your metabolism and balance your pH.
Kick start your workout
Get that kick of energy you need to get your butt off the couch by taking a pre-workout! I love NoxiPro because it gives you SO much energy, even on days where I am exhausted and feel like I can’t make it to the gym. After taking about 1/2 scoop of NoxiPro, I just can’t do anything but hit the gym! Pre-workouts should be used with care and should not be abused.
Fasted cardio
Do 15 minutes of cardio every morning before breakfast, in a fasted state. This was a huge game changer for me and I started seeing amazing results after trying fasted cardio. Read more about the science behind why fasted cardio works here on BreakingMuscle.com!
Abs are made in the kitchen
Stick to a diet that is high in protein and low in carbs. If you LOVE bread like me, try Ezekiel bread as a healthy alternative. If you are always on the go, Chipotle is a great option for a high protein meal. I also keep quest bars in my purse. For longer days I take packets of protein powder with me and mix it with water whenever I feel like I need a snack!
Stay motivated
It takes a lot to stick to a new fitness plan. Some things that keep me in the gym are:
-Pay for a gym membership. If you feel like you’re blowing off the gym a lot, buy a gym membership. Knowing that you are investing your hard-earned cash in a gym will make sure that you’re making the most of it.
-Update your playlist. Get some new music that you can’t stop listening to! The best part is that you can repeat your current favorite song 100 times and no one will judge you since you have your headphones in! #stayfocused
-Invest in new workout gear. The great thing about a new pair of sneakers or a sports bra is that you HAVE to go to the gym to wear them. Go ahead and splurge on that VS Sport bra. Your body will thank you later.
-Make plans with a reliable friend to meet at the gym. Knowing that you made a commitment will make you go to the gym! Just make sure you spend the time actually working out and not chatting.
