Happy Tuesday!
Today we are all busy making sure we have the perfect plans to bring in the New Year right! Here are 8 things you can do to over the next few months to make sure your 2015 is the best year of your life!

8. YOUR HEALTH IS YOUR WEALTH
90% of us always have that one new year’s resolution: Get in shape and exercise ‘X’ amount of days for the entire year. How many of you cancel your membership by March? Consistency is key to getting that body of your dreams so sign up for an annual plan and check out Lady Code’s Tips to Staying Motivated to Work Out.
7. SET GOALS
Instead of making a resolution for just 2015, set up a 5-year plan. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What do you need to do to get there within that time frame? A year is too short to achieve many of our goals, but if we look forward to 2020, it will be easier to stay on track.
6. HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO
Plan a vacation (or a budget-friendly staycation!) in mid-to end of 2015. Whether you are traveling solo, with friends, or your significant other, having a vacation to look forward to will surprisingly make you happier throughout the year. I leave the country at least once per year, and the benefits of traveling are amazing! I promise, a trip will make your year!
5. NEW YEAR, NEW YOU?
Taking care of yourself is not something you should do only once a year. When you book your hair and makeup appointments to look perfect for your New Year’s Eve Festivities, book your next appointment on the way out. Having an appointment already booked will keep you committed to going back and taking care of yourself. Look and feel great all year long, you deserve it!
4. SAVE MORE, OR EARN MORE.
Some of us may have made a resolution to ‘save more money.’ Instead of saving, try earning. Pick up a night/weekend job, or if you’re crafty, set up an account on Etsy and sell your creations. Some other ideas: Babysitting, dog walking, photography, teaching (ballet, piano, guitar, whatever you can), or tutor children. If you are having trouble finding another job, volunteer in your community. You may start out as a volunteer but eventually you may meet someone who can open doors for you to your dream career.
3. LOOKING FOR LOVE?
Another silly common resolution? Finding romance. Don’t try too hard! Be yourself, enjoy your life, and you will cross paths with the one you’re meant to be with at the right time for you! Instead of desperately looking for a mate this year, pick up a new hobby. You will meet new people and learn new things, and maybe meet that special someone. They always seem to come around when you aren’t looking!
2. TREAT YOURSELF
Get yourself the gift that keep giving..and giving! For only $10 per month, Ipsy sends you a monthly Glam Bag filled with top-notch beauty products and tools customized to your preferences! I love getting my Ipsy and trying the new products, its definitely a budget-friendly way to pamper and treat yourself, plus you get to try new products without committing to the full size. 1. GIVE BACK
Do you think volunteering is only about helping others? Think again. Giving back to the community and volunteering will help you, more than them. You will see yourself become more humbled, happy, and grateful after spending time with those in need. Get on the volunteer list at a homeless shelter, animal shelter, or a nursing home for starters.
If you catch yourself getting off track with your proposed resolutions, pick back up! It’s okay to miss a few days of your commitment, the most important thing is that you are consistent in the long run!
XOXO
