SU’s 18th Anniversary Celebration

You may have seen copies of Supermodels Unlimited at your local Barnes & Noble or, if you’ve been tuning in, all over my social media. I started working with Supermodels Unlimited in August this year, where I was a judge for their supermodel of the year competition in Orlando, FL. I had such a great time and shot my SU cover with Philip Reardon and Jeana Turner (Philip was the photographer and Jeana did my makeup). Jeana is actually the kindest soul on the planet and made me feel so confident, beautiful, and fierce for my cover shoot! We have a lot in common, from our love of wigs and makeup, to being mixed ethnicities (we both have some Japanese in us!), our photographer fiances, and having a history of being bullying victims. We now use our platforms to empower others and Supermodels Unlimited has provided us with an even more powerful platform to share our stories.

As a judge at the Supermodel of the Year competition, I got to select a winner for a Vizcaya Swimwear award. Haley Brach is a rising star and Franz and I presented her with a gift card to get whatever her heart desired from our store!

Our next stop was New York City. I shared a little bit about my NYFW experience earlier on, so here’s a recap: the LadyCode Shop sponsored lashes for the SU New York Fashion Week show and I was beyond excited to see the glamorous models on the runway wearing their LisaLASHES! They surprised me when I arrived and said that I would be walking in the show so I ran to Jeana to teach me how to slay a runway. I tried! The theme for the show was Fearless Females and it was ALL about empowering women. I walked to show my support and held a sign that said Woman UP.

This past weekend we celebrated Supermodels Unlimited Magazine’s 18th Anniversary in Hollywood, California. What the heck is this even real life? My LisaLASHES logo was on the red carpet backdrop with the SU logo! I came back as a lash and swimwear sponsor. This event was hosted by Jordan Kimball from the Bachelor and Miss USA, Sarah Rose Summers. There were too many celebrities in attendance to name, but they all came together to celebrate Supermodels Unlimited and to support Kristen Toepfer, who recently suffered from a stroke. She is still in recovery and could use any help you can offer. Here is the link to her GoFundMe page. Supermodels Unlimited Donated $3000 to help Kristen at the event.

I decided to go for a chic look with snake print thigh high boots and I ditched my signature wig for a high pony! After walking the red carpet I got to do some interviews to talk about my lashes and what I do on LadyCode!

It was fun to be on the other side of the microphone for a change!

Danielle Cohn, Isis King, and Laura Kirkpatrick walked the red carpet and they are all wearing lashes from the LadyCode Shop. Danielle and Isis are wearing DIVA, and Laura is wearing Paparazzi because she loves a wispier look.

Ty Dolla $ign showed up right before the show and people went wild! He walked the red carpet with Kimberly Clark, the owner of Supermodels Unlimited and a super boss babe. Check them out on the red carpet:

We got to attend a meet and greet with Ty before he went up to perform! We were all super excited to meet him! I think it’s safe to say that LisaLASHES are approved by him!

He performed several songs between the fashion shows. He performed right before the Vizcaya Swimwear fashion show and Jordan Kimball announced our show with Miss USA! What a surreal moment. Catwalk queen Jeana Turner, my favorite glam girls Tia McDonald and Kasey Cohen were a few of the gorgeous models to walk in Vizcaya. Watch it all happen here:

We wrapped up the evening with the announcement of the $3,000 donation to support Kristen as she recovers from her stroke. It was a night to remember and SU brought the community together to support and empower everyone involved. To learn more about Supermodels Unlimited, visit their website or facebook.

Thank you for tuning in and keeping up with my crazy life! I love you so much!

XOXO

Lisa
